Paper Guidelines
This paper (5 typed pages excluding bibliography) is drawn from topics that will be distributed to the class. Late assignments will NOT be accepted. In order to receive credit for each of these assignments students must: a) demonstrate an ability to think critically; b) write logically with typos and grammatical errors kept to a minimum; and c) draw upon course readings as needed
Paper Format:
- Papers must be typed using a word processor, double-spaced, with I inch margins (top, bottom, left, and right). Use bond-weight paper.
- No binders or covers. Instead, write your name and the topic you have chosen in the upper right-hand corner of the reverse side of the last page.
- Staple the paper in the upper left corner. No punk papers please (no safety pins, straight pins, dog-eared corners, etc.)
- List references on the reverse side of the last page, according to an acceptable academic format. All citations and parallelisms must be noted either in the text or in footnotes, according to standard academic conventions.
- Proofread (i.e., Spell Check, Grammatik, etc.) all of your written work before submitting it.
- Make a hard copy of your paper before you hand it in.
