MEET THE STAFF
Staff in the CASL Office of Advising and Student
Records stand ready to assist you as you pursue your academic and
career goals. Our staff is made up of seven professional academic
advisors, including a director and assistant director, and two support
personnel. We also have a group of five faculty members who serve
as our Board of General Academic Advisors. These five faculty members
advise students in our office, pay special attention to our "Undecided"
students and new freshmen, and provide that all important faculty
perspective.
We work very closely with the Dean’s Office,
the five academic departments in CASL, other campus offices providing
support services, and the other academic units. We encourage all
CASL students to make a habit of meeting with us on a regular basis
to review progress toward meeting graduation requirements. We may
be contacted by telephone at 313-593-5293, or by e-mail.

The primary role of members of the CASL Board of General Faculty Advisors
is to serve as faculty advisors for CASL students who are undecided
about their major. However, they also serve as general advisors
for any CASL student during the Fall and Winter semesters, and
advise new students at summer orientation. To meet with a member
of the Board of General Faculty Advisors, see the section titled
How to
Make an Advising Appointment.
