ADVANCED PLACEMENT
CREDIT
|
It is possible to earn college credit for
Advanced Placement coursework and exams completed while in high school.
The University of Michigan – Dearborn generally awards credit
in subjects in which a minimum score of 3 is earned
on the Advanced Placement Examination. History requires a minimum score of 4. Students are awarded actual
course credit and may apply this credit as they would if they had
actually completed the course here at UM-D. The following table
indicates the subjects and exams recognized by UM-D, and the equivalent
course credit that is awarded for scores of 3, 4 or 5. (Note: GEN =
General Credit, meaning that these credit hours are not equivalent to
any UM-D course, but count as general elective credit.)
